Jahangard ki wapsi (Translation)(Urdu)
Author: Muhammad Saleem-ur-Rehman
Nearly 3,000 years ago Homer wrote two great poems, “Iliad” and “Odyssey”. These poems not only mark the beginning of Greek literature but are also looked upon as the foundation blocks of the Western literary canon. In “Odyssey”, Odysseus, a man of great courage and cunning, wanders, after the fall of Troy, for ten years, leading a life full of strange adventures, before returning to his island home and saving his wife and son from the clutches of greedy suitors. This ancient classic has been faithfully and expertly translated into Urdu by a well-known literary figure.
